Job summary

Adventist HealthCare seeks an experienced Exercise Physiologist to support cardiac rehab and outpatient fitness programs in Rockville, MD. The role focuses on individualized exercise prescriptions, evaluations, and home programs in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Part-time evenings and Saturday shifts, with ACSM certification and ACLS/BLS within 30 days. Non-exempt status under FLSA; competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year experience required
• ACSM certification required or in progress; ACLS and BLS within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized exercise prescriptions to increase physical fitness, strength, endurance, and flexibility
• Design customized exercise programs to meet health care needs and athletic performance goals
• Perform detailed fitness evaluations, needs analysis, and progress notes for all clients
• Provide corrective coaching on ergonomics and countermeasures during line-side follow-ups, group training, video analysis, and testing
• Conduct exercising and pharmacological stress evaluations by selecting appropriate protocol and monitoring EKG/BP
• Supervises and monitors patient progress, goals, and treatment plans throughout participation
• Instructs patients on home exercise programs
• Work in a fast-paced outpatient cardiac rehabilitation setting with multiple clients simultaneously

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology
