Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network seeks a Clinical Exercise Physiologist to supervise and implement cardiovascular rehabilitation for patients with cardiopulmonary disease.

You will assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide risk-factor modification education, and document progress. The role requires a Master’s in Exercise Physiology or related field, ACSM CEP/RCEP or AACVPR CCRS certification, BLS, ECG proficiency, and at least one year of rehab experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or related field.
• ACSM CEP/RCEP or AACVPR CCRS certification required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition required.
• One-year clinical experience in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital and departmental policies, quality standards, safety protocols, and infection control guidelines.
• Provides physician prescribed exercise and ensures adherence to the treatment plan.
• Tailors risk factor modification and lifestyle education related to cardiovascular health.
• Provides psychosocial assessment to gauge patient well-being.
• Monitors progress and updates treatment plans every 30 days with physician sign-off.
• Conducts new patient evaluations including history, status, goals, and nutrition.
