Job summary

Summa Health Akron City Campus seeks a Per Diem (PRN) staff member to support Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation patients across Phases I–III. You will encourage participation, advocate for patients, and collaborate with clinicians to promote optimal care within the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program. A Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology is required, with a specific interest in cardiopulmonary rehab.

Internship or work experience is preferred. BLS is required and ACLS is encouraged.

Qualifications

• internship or work experience in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
• BLS Certification is required and may be acquired through Summa Employee Development.
• ACLS Certification is encouraged, but not required, and may be acquired through Summa Employee Development.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to clinical staff supervising cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients.
• Advocates for patients and promotes participation in the rehab program.
• Communicates observations and concerns to clinicians and support staff to promote optimal care.
