Job summary

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science with national certification (ACSM EP-C/CEP, AACVPR, CCRP) or a Master’s in Exercise Physiology, and have basic knowledge of clinical exercise

Qualifications

• Must hold national certification in exercise physiology (ACSM EP-C/CEP, AACVPR, CCRP) or be a graduate of an Exercise Physiology master program.
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical and technical aspects of exercise physiology and training.
• Basic Arrhythmia course completed within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide exercise prescription, therapy, and education to patients in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
• Support care through collaboration with healthcare team and use of therapeutic techniques.
• Serve as a resource on the unit with knowledge and involvement in professional activities.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a Bachelor Exercise Science Degree program with National Certification from ACSM, EP‑C, CEP, AACVPR, CCRP (within 6 months of hire date) or Graduate of an Exercise Physiology Master Degree Program.
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical and technical aspects of exercise physiology and training.
• Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia course within six months of hire.
• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.

Per Diem position willing to travel to all Cardiopulmonary Rehab locations – North Port, Blackburn Point, Clark Rd, Heart Pavilion at main campus, and Heritage Harbour.
