Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Tucson Main Campus is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to support patients across all phases of recovery in cardiac and pulmonary rehab. You will assess medical status, develop individualized exercise prescriptions, and lead supervised sessions while monitoring vitals and ECG to ensure safety.

Ideal candidate has 1 year cardiac rehab experience or internship, BLS and ACLS, and a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.
• Minimum internship of 300+ hours in cardiac rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of cardiac/pulmonary physiology and ECG interpretation.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient functional abilities and sets care goals.
• Implements individualized exercise plans and ensures safety.
• Educates patients and families on discharge guidelines and risk factor modification.
• Documents patient treatment under supervision and regulatory standards.
• Follows care plans and consults with supervisor on unusual situations.
• Maintains equipment safety and a safe environment for all.
