Banner University Medical Center Phoenix in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Exercise Physiologist for the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab program. The role focuses on assessing patients across recovery phases, developing individualized exercise prescriptions, and leading supervised sessions while monitoring vitals, ECG, and symptoms to ensure safety.

The ideal candidate has internship experience in cardiac rehab, BLS certification, and ACLS certification (uploaded with application).

Qualifications

Internship with 300+ hours in cardiac rehabilitation or equivalent clinical hours.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification preferred (to be uploaded with application).
Strong knowledge of cardiac/pulmonary physiology and ECG interpretation.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized exercise plans.
Provide education on lifestyle modification, discharge guidelines, and risk-factor management.
Write and progress exercise prescriptions for outpatient rehabilitation phases II and III.
Document treatment according to professional standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
Assist in ensuring safety and monitoring of vitals, ECG, and symptoms during sessions.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support recovery and long-term wellness.
