Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist with CCRP or ACSM CEP certification. The role supports cardiac/pulmonary rehab patients, collects initial assessments, develops exercise and lifestyle education plans, and monitors patients during exercise.

Required: Bachelor's degree and BLS/ACLS certifications. One year of experience preferred; schedule is 0630-1730, Monday to Friday, 36–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA RQI).
• CCRP or ACSM CEP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement all phases of education and exercise therapy programs for rehabilitation of cardiovascular and pulmonary disease.
• Collect data for initial patient assessment and develop exercise and life-style modification plans.
• Monitor patients during exercise and modify plans as needed; provide patient education.
