Job summary

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is seeking a Nurse Technician PRN for the 4th floor cardiac progressive care unit (4NS/4N S). The position supports RNs, provides routine bedside care, monitors patients, and collaborates within a high-energy team focused on quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and attending an accredited school of registered nursing.
• May be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) program.
• Requires evidence of successful completion of adult medical-surgical rotations – theory and clinical.
• Requires current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine bedside nursing activities including bathing, ambulating, and turning patients.
• Assists in additional nursing procedures such as catheterizations, suctioning, and dressing changes.
• Takes vital signs, records intake/output, and documents patient information.
• Keeps nursing staff advised of changes in patient condition and participates in rounds and conferences.
