Job summary

Willowbrook Cardiovascular Associates in Houston, TX seeks a full-time Nuclear Medicine / PET CT Technologist for a day shift at the Dotson Road location. The role involves preparing radiopharmaceuticals, administering doses, and performing Cardiac PET CT studies under physician guidance.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology program, ARRT or NMTCB registration, BLS/CPR, and flexibility with private cardiology practice pace.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• Must be registered with ARRT or NMTCB.
• 2 years of experience preferred but not required.
• Open to new graduates.
• BLS/CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explains procedure to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
• Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses under physician direction.
• Performs diagnostic exams including Cardiac PET CT studies, including treadmill supervision and starting IVs.
• Measures radioactivity using Geiger counters, scalers and scintillation detectors.
• Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Maintains quality control of all equipment.
• Safeguards patient health information privacy.
• Attends required meetings.
• Performs related work as required.
