Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO is seeking a Perfusionist to set up and operate extracorporeal and related devices for cardiac surgery, while monitoring patients' physiologic functions and reporting on care effectiveness.

Requires graduation from an accredited Perfusion Education Program or MO licensure; 3–5 years' perfusion experience preferred; board certification within one year. Strong analytical, communication, time management, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Perfusion Education Program or MO licensed perfusionist.
• MO Clinical Perfusionist license; must obtain permanent licensure within 1 year.
• Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion within 1 year.
• Preferred: 3–5 years' perfusion experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate extracorporeal and related devices used in cardiac surgery.
• Conduct tests on pulmonary or cardiovascular systems for diagnostics.
• Monitor and record patients' physiologic functions and report care effectiveness.
• Supervise and train cardiology technologists and students.
