Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking a perfusionist to provide cardiopulmonary and mechanical circulatory support for cardiac and trauma patients. The role includes operating extracorporeal devices, administering medications and blood products, and developing tailored care plans in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), 2–5 years of experience, and licensure/certifications in perfusion; supervision experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience; 2-5 years preferred
• Certifications: Clinical Perfusionist, Licensed Perfusionist, CPR
• Provisional or full licensure required; supervision experience not necessary

• Operate and troubleshoot extracorporeal support devices
• Coordinate patient transfers involving mechanical support systems

Job description

This position involves providing cardiopulmonary and mechanical circulatory support for patients, including complex procedures such as support for heart failure, transplantation, and trauma cases. The perfusionist will operate and troubleshoot advanced extracorporeal support devices, administer medications, transfuse blood, and develop care plans tailored to cardiac conditions. Responsibilities include conducting cardiopulmonary bypass, supporting ventricular assist devices, managing inter-hospital transfers, and participating in education and training programs for staff and students. The role requires strong critical thinking, technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with a diverse team.
