Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking a Cardiac Med Intermediate RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This 24-hour-per-week night shift position focuses on patients with cardiac and respiratory needs, without vents, as part of a fast-paced ED/ICU-inspired environment.

Qualified candidates graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold current RN licensure in MO or a compact state; BLS certification is required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in MO or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification required or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process in the PCU.
• Monitor cardiac and respiratory status, coordinate with care teams.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality, document care.
• Support a fast-paced unit with ED/ICU crossover features.
