Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking a Cardiac Med Intermediate RN for the PCU. This fast-paced unit cares for cardiac patients and select respiratory cases, with no vents and high-flow needs.

You will use comprehensive nursing assessments, coordinate care with the team, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality. The role offers a night shift, 24 hours per week, with premium night shift sign-on bonuses: Graduate Nurses $10,000; Experienced Nurses $13,000.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
