Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking a Cardiac Med Intermediate RN to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The unit cares for cardiac and respiratory patients with high acuity, blending ED and ICU elements for fast-paced care.

You will perform nursing duties using the nursing process, work with the care team, and uphold Mercy Service Standards. MO RN licensure and BLS are required; ADN/ Diploma/ BSN are acceptable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in cardiac/step-down care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for PCU patients using the nursing process.
• Monitor cardiac and respiratory status and intervene as needed.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality per standards.
