Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Prep PACU Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care. You will manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, respond to complications, and perform initial wound care while ensuring patient stability during recovery.

You will collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams and participate in on-call scheduling. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, and continuous improvement in a dynamic

Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months of start date
• BLS within 30 days of start date
• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)
• RN Diploma, or BSN, or ASN/ADN
• At least 2 years RN experience, with 1 year in Critical Care (ICU/ER/PACU)

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care with airway support and monitoring of neurological and cardiac status
• Respond promptly to complications or side effects and document changes
• Perform initial wound care and ensure stability during recovery
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Educate patients and families about conditions and follow-up measures
