Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of operating room experience scrubbing within the last two years is required.
• Surgical Technologist Certificate must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Per National Agreement, KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician during minor and general surgical procedures.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures and tests.
• Set up instruments, trays and supplies for operations.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control procedures.
• Operate autoclave and handling of sterile equipment.
