Job summary

Gore seeks a Cardiac Innovator to lead the development of new products from concept through launch at a Flagstaff, AZ facility, with a possible hybrid work arrangement.

You will drive technical research, design prototypes, and validate concepts with customers, collaborating with research & design, NPD, manufacturing, marketing, and sales leadership to ensure successful product outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of R&D experience.
• Demonstrated medical devices experience.
• Hands-on prototyping experience (e.g., 3D printing).
• Design for manufacturability experience.
• SolidWorks and GD&T proficiency.
• Willing to travel up to 15% overnight.

Responsibilities

• Translate market opportunities into innovative product concepts.
• Develop design concepts and prototypes, including MVPs.
• Create initial design documentation with drawings and specs.
• Develop tooling and simple equipment designs.
• Participate in supplier selection.
• Validate product concepts with customers.
• Collaborate with R&D, NPD teams, design engineers, manufacturing, marketing, and sales leadership.
• Ensure success through process development and technical research.
