Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science; fifteen years in engineering, R&D, or related field (or equivalent)
• SolidWorks modeling and simulation experience; CSWP certification
• Proficiency with mold flow analysis software (MoldFlow, Moldex3D)
• Experience with R&D development cycles and technical design reviews
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated capability in GD&T, tolerance analyses, and performance testing
• Ability to develop and document product specifications compliant with ASME standards
• Travel up to 10%
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and Suppliers

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and commercialize innovative medical devices and accessories leveraging DFMA
• Contribute to cross-functional teams to generate and refine design concepts
• Document designs for patents and trade secrets with IP/legal teams
• Maintain core design skills and pursue relevant certifications
• Deliver design packages with specifications, CAD models, and analyses
• Represent device design needs to suppliers and support CAPAs and NCRs
• Support technology transfer and design changes across product lines
• Apply problem-solving to root-cause analysis of non-conforming products
