Job summary

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Cardiac Unit. The role involves patient assessment/admission, medication administration, and family communication on a 24-bed telemetry unit with a 7:00 AM–7:00 PM shift.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or Compact Multi-State License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
• RN-education options include ADN, BSN, Diploma, or MSN requirements

Responsibilities

• Assessing and admitting patients and performing rounding checks
• Administering medications and monitoring patient responses
• Communicating with patients' families and providing care coordination
• Maintaining patient safety and ensuring quality of care on the unit
• Collaborating with the care team to manage stroke/M/S patients on telemetry
