Job summary

Children’s is seeking an experienced RN to lead and coordinate the daily operations of the operating room specialty service line. You will support quality, safety, and service while ensuring instrument readiness and smooth case flow.

The role involves direct patient care in the OR, on-call coverage, staff precepting, and participation in education programs for the specialty. Strong leadership and communication are essential to support physicians and the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a clinical nurse; supervisory experience preferred.
• RN license required; CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily operational activities of the operating room specialty service line.
• Maintain availability and working status of specialty instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Provide direct patient care in the operating room.
• Participate in regular, specialty and resource on-call coverage for the Operating Room.
• Precept the precepting of new employees to the specialty service(s).
• Direct the education programs for the Specialty Service(s) and collaborate with educators.
• Provide leadership and development to team members and ensure policy adherence.
