Job summary

Kaweah Health is seeking a Student Nurse Intern (SNI) for the Cardiovascular ICU in Visalia, CA. The role supports RN staff, participates in patient care, and advances through a school-supervised clinical program.

The SNI will collaborate with the care team, complete required skills checklists, and perform basic bedside tasks under RN supervision. BLS is required, and enrollment in an RN program is expected to progress through the 3rd or 4th semester.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Enrollment in an RN program (ASN or BSN) with progression through the specified semesters.
• Must maintain updated transcripts and notify HR of enrollment changes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates and communicates with patients, families, and health care providers.
• Formulates plan of care with RN guidance and involves patients in decisions.
• Maintains Skills Checklist verified by nursing school and KH RN preceptor.
• Performs bedside nursing tasks under RN supervision and within competency scope.
• Participates in safety, infection control, and documentation in EMR.
