Job summary

Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA invites a Student Nurse Intern to join the Medical/Surgical team on day, 12-hour shifts. Under the direction of a registered nurse, the SNI will provide basic bedside care and support the care plan while developing nursing skills.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient needs, documenting in the EMR, coordinating with the RN and other staff, and adhering to safety, infection control, and ethics guidelines.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited RN program with completion of 3rd semester (ASN).
• Enrollment in an accredited RN program with completion of 4th semester (BSN).
• Updated transcript submission to HR each term.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with patient, family, and care team to plan and deliver care.
• Demonstrates professional practice under RN supervision and adheres to ethics.
• Gathers and documents patient information in the EMR, including vitals and intake/output.
• Assists with activities of daily living and basic bedside care as delegated.
