Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in the 6 East Cardiac Intensive Care Unit/Progressive Care Unit. The role supports ADLs, specimen collection, IV catheter care, and accurate documentation.

Shifts include 6:30 am–3:00 pm, 2:30 pm–11:00 pm, and 10:30 pm–7:00 am. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and either one year of direct care experience or completion of CENA/PCT/MA/EMT programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year direct care experience or completion of CENA/PCT/MA/EMT.
• Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs: bathing, toileting, positioning, turning, transfers, ambulation, feeding, and menu selection.
• Collect and send specimens (blood, cultures); manage IV catheters and document patient data.
• Care for critically ill cardiac patients in progressive care post-MI, CHF, arrhythmias.
