Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus as a Clinical Technician in the Coronary ICU. Work nights in the J31 unit, providing direct patient care and supporting a high-acuity cardiac team in a leading research and surgical environment.

Responsibilities include vital signs, patient assistance under an RN, and maintaining room readiness; minimum qualifications require a high school diploma and BLS certification, with ICU experience preferred. Valuable nursing student rotations may substitute experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross within new hire period.
• One year of recent, full-time patient care experience required.
• Nursing students who have completed at least one clinical rotation may substitute for the required experience.
• Military medical experience (HM/68W/4N0X1) will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN (vital signs, weight, personal care, dressing changes, monitoring devices, Foley catheter removal).
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
