Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health related field or Exercise Science.
• ACSM EP-C or ASEP EPC licensure preferred.
• ACLS/BLS or equivalent certifications may be obtained upon hire.
• At least one year of cardiology experience preferred.
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient care settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures incl. ECG, rhythm strip, treadmill stress tests, nuclear stress tests, stress ECHO tests.
• Record short cardiopulmonary history on patients undergoing testing.
• Maintain departmental productivity and statistics records.
• Serve as part of the cardiac fast teams for inpatient units.
• Edit ECG and stress testing reports per policy.
• Interact with patient and physician in receipt, review, scanning and reporting of event recorders.
• Promote a safe patient environment and follow safety policies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in health related field or Exercise Science

ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP-C)

ASEP Board Certified Exercise Physiologist (EPC)

Area-specific required education (ACLS, BLS, etc.)
