Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health related field or Exercise Science.
• A minimum of one year of cardiology experience preferred if degree in health related field.
• Area specific required education may be obtained upon hire and is to be maintained, e.g., ACLS, BLS, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures after training and competency evaluation: ECG, rhythm strip, heart monitor hookup, treadmill stress test, nuclear stress test, stress ECHO tests, and DOB echo and nuclear test.
• Record short cardiopulmonary history by asking relevant questions.
• Maintain departmental statistics and productivity records.
• Act as part of the cardiac fast teams for inpatient units.
• Edit ECG and stress testing reports as per policy.
• Interact with patient and physician in recording and reporting event records.
• Promote an environment focused on patient safety.
• Follow Departmental, Hospital and HR policy & procedures.
