Job summary

HCA Healthcare seeks a Pediatric Echo Technician / Cardiac Sonographer to provide expert echocardiography services for pediatric and fetal patients. You will perform 2D, Doppler, and color flow studies, prepare and monitor exams, and ensure QA and infection control standards are met.

The role requires certification in pediatric echocardiography, 1–3 years' experience, and current BCLS/PALS. The position supports a patient-centered care model within a team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Certification from an approved echocardiography program with emphasis on pediatrics required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in pediatric echocardiography or related sonography role.
  • ARDMS or equivalent pediatric/cardiac echo certifications listed in the requirements.
  • Basic life support (BCLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform 2D, Doppler, and color flow echocardiography on pediatric patients and fetuses.
  • Prepare patients for exams, monitor progress, and record results for physician interpretation.
  • Ensure QA procedures for equipment and exams are followed; maintain a clean work area.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and assist with coordinating care pauses as needed.
  • Support the physician with timely studies and documentation for treatment planning.
