Job summary

UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Cardiac Sonographer (Echocardiographer) to provide diagnostic ultrasound images of the heart under supervision of a cardiology physician. The role covers neonatal through geriatric patients and requires adherence to QA and safety standards.

Essential credentials include CPR/BLS and ARDMS/ARRT/CCI certification with licensure for NM Medical Imaging, plus allied health program graduate background. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Program Graduate
• Allied Health Accredited Program Graduate
• CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
• ARDMS or Ult Cert from ARRT or CCI Cert w/in 1 year
• NM Med Imag & Rad Therapy Lic (NMMIRT)

Responsibilities

• PATIENT SAFETY: follow safety policies and protocols
• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment for sonography
• Review patient history and perform diagnostic echocardiography under physician oversight
• Assess anatomy and capture appropriate cardiac images
• Review results and assist with QA and documentation
