A Cardiac ECHO Sonographer opportunity is available in Farmington, NM at a 198-bed, Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The facility offers a broad range of services including a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, day surgery center, and extensive imaging and lab services, with PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory accreditations.
The role. The Cardiac ECHO Sonographer works within the Cardiopulmonary Specialty Services department, performing echocardiographic studies across all age groups using GE Vivid E95 equipment and documenting within a Cerner EHR environment. The primary focus is adult ECHO, with pediatric ECHO experience considered a strong asset. The sonographer interprets and supports cardiac diagnostic workups, with common diagnoses and treatments centered on cardiac conditions. Given the facility's Level III trauma designation and its role as a regional referral destination for Trauma Level I, II, and III cases flown in from the Four Corners area, the position requires adaptability to a varied and complex patient population.
Day shift, Monday–Friday, with call rotation every fifth week for one week, including every fifth weekend on call.
