Job summary

Holy Cross Medical Center in Taos, NM seeks an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to support diagnosis and treatment planning in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team. The role requires performing all duties independently with minimal supervision and delivering high-quality echocardiography imaging and patient assessment.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of echocardiography experience, knowledge of PACS and EMR, and hold an Associate’s Degree in Echo or Sonography, along with NM

Qualifications

• 1 year of Cardiac Sonography Echocardiology (ECHO) experience.
• Knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited school or college program in Echo or Sonography.
• Current NM licensure in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NMMIRT); ARDMS or RDCS (minimum one registry); ARRT Ultrasound and/or CCI; Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

Job description

The Cardiac Sonographer position is responsible for assisting the Physician and other associated healthcare professionals with the diagnosis and development of treatment plans for patients. The position requires performing all duties independently with minimal supervision.

MINIMUM MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

• One (1) year of Cardiac Sonography Echocardiology (ECHO)
• Knowledge of Picture Achieving and Communication System (PACS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Education:

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited school or college program in Echo or Sonography

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current State of New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program Licensure (NMMIRT)
• American Registry for Diagnostics Medical Sonography (ARDMS or RDCS) for a minimum of one (1) registry and/or
• Ultrasound Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred qualifications

• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as aCardiac Sonographer
• Associate's Degree or further education in related discipline
