Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiography studies in a rotating schedule between clinic and hospital settings. The role requires updating RDCS-AE or RCS credentials within specified timelines and completion of required BLS certification.

The position emphasizes high-quality imaging, patient interaction, and strict adherence to safety procedures while supporting a dynamic cardiovascular diagnostics team.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Sonography.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures (M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow) and measures parameters for accurate results.
• Identifies cardiac abnormalities and extends examination scope as needed.
• Prepares patients, obtains history, and adapts imaging to obtain comprehensive echocardiograms.
