Job summary

The Echo Technologist at Lutheran Health Network performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures, using independent judgment to obtain clear images for physician evaluation. The role emphasizes patient safety, comfort, and accurate identification prior to procedures, collaborating with healthcare teams to provide high-quality imaging and reports.

This full-time position requires 6:30a-5p shifts with weekend and call rotation; prior Echo tech experience and RDMS preferred; responsibilities

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in echocardiography or cardiac sonography.
• RDMS or RDCS certification preferred or graduate of an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic studies (2-D imaging, M-mode, Doppler) per standards and physician guidance.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during exams.
• Acquire and document Stress Echo and Doppler images; assist with TEEs as needed.
• Document preliminary results and patient information in EMR; maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; ensure readiness of the work area.
