Community Health Systems in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer with prior Echo Tech experience to join our cardiology team. This full-time role requires early start times (6:30a–5p) with weekend and call rotation.

The Echo Technologist will perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies, ensure patient safety, document results in the EMR, and collaborate with physicians for timely interpretation. Competitive benefits and a sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of echocardiography or cardiac sonography experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiographic studies, including 2-D imaging, M-mode tracings, and Doppler recordings.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort during exams and proper positioning.
• Obtains Quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images with rapid post-exercise acquisition.
• Assists physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) for optimal imaging.
• Documents preliminary reports and patient information in the EMR with confidentiality.
• Verifies patient identity, orders and consents before procedures.
