Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks an Echocardiography Technologist for on-site work in Wexford, PA. The role performs M-Mode, 2D, color flow, Doppler, and stress echocardiograms and assists with transesophageal procedures, including pericardiocentesis when trained.

You will provide preliminary analysis and ensure ICAEL compliance. Required: Associate’s Degree or equivalent; 1–3 years of echo experience preferred; RDCS or ARRT/other certification; valid PA license if applicable; CPR and background

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience performing echocardiograms preferred.
• RDCS certification or eligible/ARRT credential required within specified period.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiographic procedures (M-Mode, 2D, color flow, Doppler, stress) per ICAEL standards.
• Assists cardiologist with TEE and stress imaging; may assist during pericardiocentesis.
• Operates ultrasound systems, maintains data in the database, and ensures safety and quality control.
• Adheres to HIPAA and lab privacy policies; follows infection prevention practices.
