Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Techn capable of performing diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction. The role involves coordinating exams, educating patients, and ensuring safety and quality in a 40-hour work week with rotating days off.

Primary site is St. Mary’s Regional Hospital with rotations to the Cardiology Clinic in Grand Junction, CO. Requires ARDMS/CCI and BLS certifications; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualificações

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography is required.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred and must be from an accredited institution.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate technical competence for department-specific protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by confirming patient identity and educating patient and family on procedures.
• Perform ultrasound exams in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs and coordinate care with physicians and caregivers.
• Document exam results and charging information.
• Clean and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Support team and quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor caregivers and students in equipment use and techniques.
