Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Echocardiographer to perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound procedures, including 2-D, 3-D, strain, M-Mode and Doppler studies. The role supports gy performing stress echocardiograms and TEEs in collaboration with cardiology attending physicians.

The candidate will document findings in the Cardiovascular Information System and ensure timely escalation of critical findings, while maintaining patient safety and room readiness.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified cardiovascular technology school and/or graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program with a specialty in cardiac sonography.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms including 2-D, 3-D when applicable, strain, M-Mode, color flow imaging and doppler studies.
• Recognizes need for contrast imaging enhancement and administers as per protocol.
• Responsible for the preliminary measurement and documentation within the Cardiovascular Information Systems to be used by reading physicians and cardiologists in finalizing echocardiography reports.
• Obtains patient history and performs procedures as ordered.
• Cleans and prepares room for the next patient.
• Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
