Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring an Echocardiographer in New Jersey to perform cardiac ultrasound procedures and assist during stress echocardiogram and TEE. The position requires knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology and collaboration with cardiology staff.

Responsibilities include acquiring 2-D/3-D echo data, managing documentation in Cardiovascular Information Systems, and ensuring equipment is calibrated and ready for patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified cardiovascular technology school and/or graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program with a specialty in cardiac sonography.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms including 2-D, 3-D when applicable, strain, M-Mode, color flow imaging and doppler studies.
• Obtains patient history and performs procedures as ordered.
• Transports equipment to the patient's room for bedside studies, as needed.
• Calibrates, cleans and maintains equipment and reports breakdowns and supply needs.
• Completes EPIC workflow and processes billing charge requisition, log books, worksheets and reports, as applicable.
