Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Echocardiographer to perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound exams, including 2-D/3-D imaging, strain, M-Mode, doppler, and color flow studies. The role supports stress echocardiography and transesophageal echo procedures, documenting findings for physician review.

The candidate will manage patient history, equipment calibration, and data entry in the cardiovascular information systems, while upholding safety and quality standards in a collaborative

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified cardiovascular technology school and/or graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program with a specialty in cardiac sonography.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and Google Suite).
• One-year clinical echocardiography experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms including 2-D, 3-D, strain, M-Mode, color flow imaging and doppler studies.
• Assist during stress echocardiogram and TEE procedures.
• Document measurements in Cardiovascular Information Systems for physician review.
• Obtain patient history and perform procedures as ordered.
• Maintain and calibrate echocardiography equipment; ensure clean work area.

Education

Graduate of a certified cardiovascular technology program

Graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program with cardiac specialty

BLS/Basic Life Support Certification
