Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a cardiovascular sonographer to perform echocardiograms per ASE standards and to provide high-quality patient care across Adult Echo/Stress/TEE with call coverage.

The role requires CPR/BLS within 90 days and RDCS/RCS certification within 1 year; a degree from an accredited program is essential. You will educate patients, document findings, and help manage equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited program.
• Approved CPR/BLS certification within 90 days.
• RCS or RDCS certification within 1 year.
• Driver’s license/Caregiver background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms per standard imaging protocol.
• Work in Adult Echo/Stress/TEE/Call coverage (may include pediatric).
• Notify physician of abnormal EKG findings and document results.
• Document patient and procedural data with 98% accuracy in records.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and processes.
• Maintain supplies and alert staff when items are low.
• Participate in required training and CPR certification.
