Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Technician to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician supervision. This entry- to mid-level role supports the clinical team at Lutheran Hospital, ensuring high-quality patient care and safe exam practices.

The position offers full-time hours (36 per week) with night, weekend, and holiday call. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available to assist with transition into the organization.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
• 1+ year of echocardiography experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams following department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams and coordinate with staff, physicians, and patients.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and ensure safety/comfort.
• Document exam results and apply charge codes.
• Maintain and clean equipment and supplies; coordinate repairs or replenishment.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities.

Skills

1+ year echocardiography experience

Education

ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac/vascular sonography

BLS certification for healthcare providers

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
