Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center in Washington, DC, seeks an Echo Technician for per-diem/PRN coverage to perform diagnostic echocardiograms and related non-invasive cardiac tests, with reporting to the medical team.

You will perform stress tests, ECGs, and ensure accurate documentation, while maintaining equipment and adhering to safety guidelines in a high-volume cardiac care setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Successful completion of a formal training program in diagnostic cardiac sonography.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate preferred.
• 2 years of recent cardiac sonography experience or comparable training/experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic echo-cardiograms using ultrasound to image the heart.
• Perform stress tests and electrocardiograms as needed.
• Ensure accurate completion and reporting of all tests.
• Analyze results and summarize findings for the medical team.
• Take vital signs and document findings in patient records.
• Maintain equipment and safety protocols; check defibrillator and logs.

Education
