Job summary

Ohio State University’s Ross Heart Hospital is seeking an Echocardiography Tech for the Cardiac Imaging Lab on a contingent, intermittent basis. The Echo Lab includes 6 transthoracic rooms, 1 stress echo room and 2 TEE rooms, with first-shift coverage and on-call support.

The role performs sonographic and noninvasive imaging, educates patients, participates in quality assessment, and mentors students and staff; requires completion of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program and certs within 18

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program.
• RDCS or RCS certification required within 18 months of hire.
• Preferred: Previous Cardiac Sonography experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs sonographic and noninvasive imaging procedures.
• Provides patient education and participates in quality assessment.
• Mentors other sonographers and students to enhance quality.
• Supports ongoing quality assurance/quality improvement initiatives.
