Job summary

UCHealth in Aurora, CO, is seeking a Cardiac Sonography professional to perform echocardiogram procedures in accordance with scope and standards. This onsite role requires RDCS or RCS certification and BLS, with the department CTRC Outpatient. Part-time, 40 hours per pay period.

Pay ranges from $42.01 to $58.82 per hour depending on experience. The position emphasizes patient education, accurate imaging, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program or an allied health degree.
• RDCS or RCS certification required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Independently performs echocardiography procedures on patients. Selects and uses transducers according to anatomy; differentiates normal and abnormal structures; ensures enough information for diagnosis.
• Selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; prepares/administrates contrast media or medications within scope; monitors patient condition and reports changes.
• Implements safety standards and performs quality control; troubleshoots equipment; reports malfunctions; enters and reports scan results.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Associate's degree in allied health
