Job summary

UCHealth is seeking an Echocardiography Sonographer in Aurora, CO for an onsite, full-time role with a dayshift schedule. The position involves performing ultrasound exams, generating diagnostic data, and contributing to patient care with a structured career ladder.

Requirements include graduate from a Cardiac Sonography program or an allied-health degree, RDCS or RCS certification, and BLS. Pay ranges from $42.01 to $58.82 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program or an associated/ bachelor degree in allied health
• RDCS or RCS certification required by ARDMS/CCI
• BLS certification required before start date

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders; educates patient about procedures and exam expectations.
• Independently performs echocardiography procedures; selects transducers and imaging parameters to obtain diagnostic data.
• Selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; administers contrast media or medications within scope; monitors patient.
• Implements safety standards and quality control; troubleshoots equipment; transmits and reports results.
