The position is part-time (30 hours/week) with 10-hour days and on-call shifts at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. The role emphasizes education, team collaboration, and patient-centered care as part of a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by educating patient and family on procedure and transporting patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and other needed information; apply charge codes.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and techniques.
• Clean and maintain equipment, work area, and supplies.
• Support repair or supply needs and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
