Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist to perform cardiac ultrasound studies, including Doppler and related imaging, under supervision. The role requires ARDMS registry in Adult Echocardiography or an accredited ultrasound/cardiovascular program with clinical experience.

Candidates should have 2 years of cardiovascular sonography experience and be capable of coordinating patient flow, maintaining image quality, and collaborating with the cardiology team.

Qualifications

• Experience with cardiac ultrasound and Doppler imaging.
• Strong patient communication and care.
• Ability to review orders and coordinate with team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient throughput and ensure accurate procedure delivery.
• Position patient to optimize image quality and monitor for complications.
• Document measurements and ensure proper archiving of studies.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Collaborate with cardiology staff to ensure accurate readings.
