Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to advance non-invasive imaging capabilities. You will perform echocardiography, ensure optimal images, and support patient throughput with compassionate care.

The role requires ARDMS registry or eligible program completion, with preferred CMA/CAAHEP accreditation and BLS certification. You will work in a team-based environment within the Cardiology Office.

Qualifications

• Current ARDMS registry in Adult Echocardiography or completion of an accredited Echo program.
• Program accreditation by CAAHEP or CMA; pass ARDMS/Credentialing exam within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient throughput and ensures high patient satisfaction with testing.
• Reviews orders and patient history; performs cardiac ultrasound studies.
• Positions patients, selects transducers, optimizes image quality during procedures.
• Documents measurements and ensures proper data entry for billing and reporting.
• Maintains and troubleshoots echo equipment and reports to cardiology.
