Job summary

Liberty Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer for weekend days, full-time. The role involves performing echocardiograms, stress tests, and advanced cardiac imaging, with patient interaction and safety as priorities.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, be from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program, and hold or pursue essential certifications (BLS, RDCS/RCS). On-site duties include on-call coverage and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Graduate of accredited cardiac ultrasound/echocardiography program or health science program related.
• Training or certification in IV and UEA contrast administration.
• BLS/ACLS required; RDCS or RCS credentialing in progress within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and verify exam matches indication; clarify if needed.
• Explain procedure to patients and ensure comfort.
• Perform routine and complex cardiac ultrasound procedures including echocardiograms and stress echo.
• Assist with TEE imaging and post-procedure cleanup.
• Be available for on-call echocardiographic services as assigned.
