Job summary

CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to join our cardiac team. You will perform diagnostic imaging, including echocardiography, vascular exams, and noninvasive cardiac testing to guide patient care from initial evaluation to treatment decisions.

You will use advanced imaging equipment, ensure patient comfort, and deliver high-quality ultrasound studies. The role emphasizes independent judgment, accurate procedures, patient education, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent clinical job training, upon hire
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, within 12 - months or
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months and
• Registered Vascular Technologist, within 12 - months or
• Registered Vascular Specialist, within 12 - months and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days

Responsibilities

• Performs various diagnostic cardiology or peripheral vascular exams Cardiac Imaging Echocardiography Exercise stress echo Chemical stress echo Transesophageal echo Noninvasive Cardiac Testing Electrocardiograms (ECG) Holter/Event monitor applications Non-imaging stress testing
• Corroborates clinical history and assesses patient for appropriateness of ordered procedure.
• Provides patient education, applies patient relations skills and maintains confidentiality of patients and customers in a safe and professional manner.
• Assumes responsibility for assigned area, reporting equipment malfunctions and procedure difficulties.
• Is responsible for completing quarterly mandatory education requirements.
