Job summary

CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer to support our cardiac care team with diagnostic echocardiography and vascular studies.

You will perform imaging, ensure high-quality images, and contribute to patient care from assessment to education, while maintaining safety and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent.
• Registered or eligible in Cardiovascular Sonography (adult echo) preferred.
• CPR certification required or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography and vascular duplex exams.
• Produce high-quality images and ensure patient safety.
• Corroborate clinical history and communicate results to the team.
• Participate in quarterly mandatory education.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team, performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team, performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

Every day, you will apply your independent judgment and advanced technical skills to perform state-of-the-art imaging procedures for patients presenting with conditions such as heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, and acute myocardial infarction, supporting decisions from minimally invasive interventions to major structural repairs.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid understanding of echocardiography imaging equipment, master proper patient positioning techniques, and expertly produce and analyze high-quality cardiac ultrasound images. Above all, you will continuously strive to deliver an exceptional and positive experience to our patients and their caregivers.

• Assumes responsibility for assigned area, reporting equipment malfunctions and procedure difficulties.
• Is responsible for completing quarterly mandatory education requirements.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent clinical job training, upon hire
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, within 12 - months or
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months and
• Registered Vascular Technologist, within 12 - months or
• Registered Vascular Specialist, within 12 - months and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days

Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you'll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.

Pay Range

$34.69 - $51.59 /hour
